Goat Simulator for PC, iOS and etc. is a humorous game by the independent Coffee Stain studio from Sweden. The absurd project of a crazy goat simulator was conceived by accident. Originally, it was supposed to be simply a joke, but first videos ed on YouTube attracted lively interest. The developers had no other choice than to finish the game and publish it. Coffee Stain Studios is primarily known for their Sanctum series combining elements of tower defence games and FPSs.
In Goat Simulator you assume the role of an unruly goat named Pilgor which aim is to deal as much damage as possible. Gameplay combines loads of absurd elements and is purely humorous. The game features e.g. bugs, like unnaturally expanding neck of the goat or an ability of climbing a ladder – these bugs are left in the game on purpose, as “bugs are a feature.” Pilgor runs with her tongue sticking out, with which you can grab different objects (e.g. an axe) so as to inflict greater damage.
Goat Simulator published on PC, iOS and etc. is powered by Unreal Engine 3, so visuals are realistic, which makes the game even more absurd.

Another DLC for the crazy action game Goat Simulator released in 2014 by Coffee Stain. The Waste of Space expansion adds a completely new map to the game. The map is larger than anything that Goat Simulator and its expansions offered up until now. The new level consists of a large space area and of an alien planet with a colony on its surface. Typically for the Goat Simulator, there is no story per se. Instead, the game focuses on a typically sandbox gameplay model which is filled with absurd jokes and opportunities for having fun and engaging in combat. Chaos and destruction can be pursued not only on the surface of the planet and in space, but on space cruisers and space stations as well. The expansion also adds various futuristic technologies and a romance system which parodies the Mass Effect series.

The second large expansion to Goat Simulator – the crazy action game with a goat protagonist which parodies the wave of various virtual simulators. This time the developers from Coffee Stain Studios decided to ridicule sandbox survival zombie apocalypse games. The title of the DLC references to MMO game DayZ which for a long time remained in Steam Early Access. Goat Simulator: GoatZ is a purchasable expansion which requires the core version of the game to work. The title offers a large open world filled with various attractions and easter eggs. The goat protagonist must face aggressive zombies in which various weapons created with a simple crafting system helps him. The player must take care of the needs of the character – especially hunger which must be appeased every five minutes in order to remain alive. Goat Simulator: GoatZ is filled with bugs left there on purpose in order to parody cases of Early Access games.

A free DLC to the bestseller production by Swedish Coffee Stain Studios, balancing on the border of absurdity. The expansion turns Goat Simulator into a tongue-in-cheek MMO, a pastiche of serious MMORPG titles such as World of Warcraft. The action takes us to a fantasy land of dwarves and elves, in which goats and sheep wage a war. While creating your hero, you can choose one of five available classes: Warrior, Rogue, Magician, Hunter, and… Microwave. Following the path of the genre’s classic titles, gameplay comes down to completing more or less absurd quests during which your character earns experience points necessary to gain experience levels. The production also features a variety of enemies and a whole range of ridiculous activities. Apart from changed visuals - now kept in a fantasy style - there are loads of bugs just like in the original title - many of them are implemented on purpose.

Game Ratings for Goat Simulator Video Game.
Game Rant: 3 / 5 by Anthony Taormina
In a way, Goat Simulator calls to mind the other big "Simulator" game, Surgeon Simulator 2013, in that it doesn't try to take players money and run. It acknowledges its silly premise and gets a surprising amount of mileage out of it. Only a very particular type of gamer will give Goat Simulator a try, but those who do will be pleasantly surprised.
IGN: 8 / 10 by Dan Stapleton
Goat Simulator is a clever piece of interactive satire powered by hilarious ragdoll physics and its embracing of bugs.
PlayStation LifeStyle: 5.5 / 10 by Chandler Wood
Goat Simulator is unapologetically absurd but fails to meaningfully give players anything to do beyond the occasional ridiculous party trick. It was a fun ride for an evening or two, but the novelty quickly wore off as I found myself fighting with poor mechanics that add nothing to the rapidly repetitive zany nature of the game. Don't get me wrong, it has its funny moments — I mean, you're a physics-centric goat that kinda, sorta wrecks some stuff and can turn into a whale — but the moments fizzle out all too quickly. It's not that it's bad. It's just really not all that good.
