An arcade racing game released for {PLAT}. Gotcha Racing is inspired by Micro Machines, the classic series in which we controlled small vehicles from a top-down view. The game was developed by Arc System Works, authors of series such as Guilty Gear, BlazBlue, and two installments of Dragon Ball Z: Supersonic Warriors.
Gotcha Racing is a crazy arcade game, referring to the legendary Micro Machines series, in which the struggles of small cars are presented from a bird's eye view. The authors of the production are employees of the Japanese studio Arc System Works, authors of games from the cycle Guilty Gear, BlazBlue or two versions of Dragon Ball Z: Supersonic Warriors.
Gotcha Racing allows players to compete in traditional races on twelve races in different styles and representing different levels of complexity of routes. In addition, Japanese artists have also prepared a number of challenges, forcing console owners to demonstrate specific skills. These include missions to overtake a specific number of cars or to maintain a leadership position for a specific period of time.
For victories in races and challenges, console owners receive money that they can use to buy new capsules containing elements to modify the car. Every spoiler, type of tyre or shock absorber influences vehicle statistics, such as speed, manoeuvrability or grip. All elements can be combined to create even better parts of the vehicle structure.
Gotcha Racing is distinguished by its colourful, slightly cartoon style graphics. The title uses the Street function. An additional element that characterizes the game is the use of both handheld screens to present the route and the struggles played on it.
