London 1969 is the official addition to Grand Theft Auto, which caused a great deal of controversy at the end of the nineties because of its subject matter. As it was the case in the original, here too we will play the role of a gangster, who by performing certain tasks (murders, thefts, etc.) will climb higher and higher in the criminal hierarchy.

London 1969 is an official expansion for Grand Theft Auto that caused lots of controversy at the end of the last decade of the 20th century due to its brutal content. Just like in the original game, we assume the role of a gangster who climbs the ladder of the criminal hierarchy by committing all kinds of crimes.
What differentiates the add-on from the original game is a completely new approach to the career. The player assumes the role of one of the eight criminals and his goal is to become the most wanted gangster. It is achievable only by raising hell on the streets of London which was modelled with a great attention to details (you’ll see many monuments, such as the Elizabeth Tower). Due to the fact that the action takes place at the end of 60s of the 20th century, the cars were adequately adjusted to match the time. While driving around London, the player must also to drive on the left side of the road.
The graphics didn’t undergo any noticeable changes. It still offers a 3D environment observed from an aerial perspective. Tasteful soundtrack and specific gangster atmosphere from a few decades ago adds an incredibly special climate to Grand Theft Auto.
