Forgotten Gods is the second major expansion to Grim Dawn, a hack'n'slash action RPG by Crate Entertainment. The DLC introduces a new story campaign set in a desert realm full of new enemies and items, as well as a new game mode.
Grim Dawn: Forgotten Gods is the second major expansion to Grim Dawn, a 2016 action RPG. It's a non-standalone expansion, requiring the base game to play. Like the base game, it was developed by Crate Entertainment.
The expansion introduces a new singleplayer campaign, this time outside the Erulan Empire. The player embarks on a journey to a new land, full of sun-scorched deserts, oases and volcanic terrain.
Within this lands, the ruins of a forgotten city dwell, hiding secrets the world is better off not knowing. The story revolves around the awakening of the titular forgotten gods - ancient beings even mightier than the witch gods.
Grim Dawn: Forgotten Gods doesn't change the core mechanics much, focusing on providing new content. It's a hack'n'slash action RPG focused on exploring the world, developing our characters and cutting down enemy hordes in real-time combat.
Grim Dawn: Forgotten Gods introduces many new powers and hundreds new items. We'll face dozens of new enemies, both on the surface and in the dungeons. There's also a brand new gameplay mode.
Visually, Forgotten Gods resembles the base version of Grim Dawn. The new desert setting is very appealing, being much different from what the fans have seen previously.

Video game developers can make us into doing things we don't want to do. They have much better tools than parents, school and workplaces combined. I was hoodwinked by a game and I never saw it coming. Also: I regret nothing.
Crate Entertainment the official release date of Forgotten Gods, a DLC for the 2016 hack'n'slash Grim Dawn. The DLC, announced more than a year ago, will debut on March 27, this year.
