The main character of Hidden Mysteries: Vampire Secrets is a young woman named Claire, who is persecuted by nightmarish visions. She wants to rest from them by visiting her aunt Rossie in a quiet Savannah. It turns out, however, that a relative, who also experienced a vision, left the city in mysterious circumstances. during her search for the truth, the girl discovers evil, which fills the residents with horror.
The gameplay is based on the classic hidden objects rules. While visiting successive locations, the player has to search for objects cleverly fitted into the background. There is a strict time limit for each task. The reward for solving a puzzle is usually an object that allows one to remove an obstacle or solve a puzzle. The fun is also diversified by simple logical-arcade mini-games.
The graphics in Hidden Mysteries: Vampire Secrets is based on hand-drawn, two-dimensional backgrounds, which is a standard in this type of games. The atmosphere of the horror stories was emphasized by gothic details used in the interface.
