Holy Potatoes! A Spy Story?! is the fourth game from the Holy Potatoes! franchise developed by the independent team at Daylight Studios. This time we are dealing with a strategy spy game, enriched with elements of simulation.
In Holy Potatoes! A Spy Story?! we take control of a secret organization associating... potato spies. The main characters of the game are Ren and Rex, who try to solve the puzzle of the mysterious disappearance of their parents. To do this, they need to display cunning and intelligence, as well as efficient resource management.
Characteristics of this title are specific humor and references to pop culture - during the game we can meet such personalities as Justin Powers, Harry Fart or Ezio de Frenzy.
In Holy Potatoes! the action is observed from isometric view. Our task is to recruit potato agents, develop their skills and send them on increasingly difficult missions and raids. The implementation of the latter requires the planning of almost every step of our proteges.
As we progress, we can not only equip our spies with increasingly sophisticated gadgets (such as invisibility cloaks) and vehicles, but also create legendary agents using genetic manipulation technology. An important role is also played by the management of the headquarters of our agency, which over time we expand with new rooms and facilities such as training rooms or bedrooms.
Just like previous Holy Potatoes! games, A Spy Story! offers two-dimensional visuals adopting a colorful, cartoonish style. The game is accompanied by a catchy soundtrack inspired by spy action films.
