Honor of Kings is a MOBA game developed by Tencent's TiMi Studio Group. The game debuted in China in November 2015, and in 2016 it received a special adaptation titled Arena of Valor, prepared with the global market in mind. However, in June 2022, Level Infinite announced that it would release the original version of Honor of Kings worldwide, which occurred two years later. It is distributed in a free-to-play model.

Mechanics

In Honor of Kings we watch the action in an isometric view. The game allows us to embody various characters, among which appear heroes from various myths and legends. Gameplay takes place on various maps with an open structure. Players face each other and have to defend their base against enemy attacks, as well as reach the opponents' headquarters to destroy the crystal stored there. The whole thing was prepared in such a way that a single battle would last a maximum of 15-20 minutes.

In addition to the characters played by other participants in the game, players must also face units and monsters controlled by AI, as well as destroy defensive structures belonging to enemies. During dynamic skirmishes, it is necessary to skillfully use the strengths of individual heroes and efficiently juggle their attacks and abilities.

As we progress, we accumulate experience points and gold. While the former allow us to unlock new abilities or improve those already possessed, the latter enables us to acquire new characters, as well as special items that affect the attributes of our heroes.

Game modes

Honor of Kings allows to play alone, but it spreads its wings in multiplayer mode over the Internet. The game offers a number of modes, including Rift of Kings, in which two five-player teams face each other. Apart from that, we can test ourselves in modes such as 1 on 1, 3 on 3 or other 5 on 5 modules, as well as in-game variants based on PvE rules.
