The hotel is a classic adventure game, created by the Cateia Games development studio. The player directs the actions of New York police officer Bridget "Biggi" Brightstone, who is sent to to investigate strange events in the castle, which has been transformed into a hotel for several hundred years. Soon an officer comes across a dangerous sect that wants to take over the world.

Croatian development studio Cateia Games specializes in the production of adventure games, such as The Legend of Crystal Valley or the Tales from the Dragon Mountain series. While creating the Hotel, the authors decided to give vent to their imagination by mixing many motifs from legends and popular conspiracy theories.

The protagonist, New York's Bridget "Biggi" Brightstone, is unexpectedly asked by her boss to look at a hotel in where disturbing events are taking place. It turns out that it was arranged in an old castle, where paranormal phenomena take place. A skeptical policeman soon discovers that there is an ancient Egyptian cult that wants to use terrifying powers to conquer the world.

Fortunately, Brighstone is not alone in her mission to thwart lunatics' plans. For centuries Marek Antonius, Cleopatra and King Arthur fought against cults. All of them can be met by an officer on her way.

The gameplay in the hotel is based on proven solutions. Players have the opportunity to visit more than a hundred locations, talk to independent characters, look for objects and solve puzzles of varying degrees of difficulty. Control of the main character is done using the traditional point'n'click interface.

The visual setting of the game was made carefully. Particularly noteworthy are the climatic, castle interiors and views of the surroundings. The atmosphere is also skillfully emphasized by the pleasant soundtrack.
