Hotline Miami Collection is a compilation of two retro action games that resembles the first installment of the Grand Theft Auto series. In both titles, the game is shown in top-down view, and all the fun is focused on killing enemies in subsequent locations. Dennaton Games is responsible for developing both titles.
Hotline Miami is a title set in in an alternative version of Miami in 1989. The plot revolves around mysterious messages recorded on the answering machine of the main character of the game. Under their influence, the protagonist decides to commit subsequent acts of violence. The title was originally introduced to the market on October 23, 2012.
Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number is a direct continuation of its predecessor. It was launched on the market on March 10, 2015. The action of the title is set after the arrest of the protagonist of the first installment and focuses on the consequences of his actions. In this case, the player does not assume the role of a single person. Instead, they take control of several different, seemingly unrelated people. But with time it turns out that they are closely connected with each other.
The two games forming Hotline Miami Collection offer pixel art visuals, which additionally refer to the style of the 80's. Locations are bathed in neon light, which makes them shine with characteristic, sharp colors.

Game Ratings for Hotline Miami Collection Video Game.
NintendoWorldReport: 8 / 10 by David Lloyd
The themes, mechanics, and aesthetics are all so similar that I was convinced it had to be the same developer. As a publisher, Devolver Digital has a deep understanding of its market and what their fans are looking for. If you think Katana Zero is a Game of the Year candidate, than you should have a real fun time with its inspiration.
Player2.net.au: by Dylan Burns
If you missed the second game’s release, this package is well worth getting. My competitiveness has waned over the years, so I’m happy just to get through each level, but there is definitely depth on offer if you choose to knuckle down and perfect each murder box.
Metro GameCentral: 8 / 10
Hotline Miami remains one of the best indie games of the last decade but its deeply disappointingly sequel drags down this otherwise welcome compilation.
