Hybris is an action-adventure game mixed with horror genre released for PC. It is a debut title of independent studio of Monsters.
The game lets us take control of a small boy who wandered off from his parents when they were arguing. He ends in a dark city and quickly realizes he must get out of it.
Creators of Hybris combined elements of classic adventure titles with modern arcade mechanics. Our character can only move in two dimensions like in classic platformers, with gameplay focusing on exploring the world, solving puzzles, avoiding obstacles and occasional fights with enemies.
Despite its two-dimensional gameplay, Hybris for PC uses three-dimensional visuals, greatly assisted by soundtrack of Austin Wintory – the composer of music to titles like Journey. The second of this title earned him Grammy award.
