Hyperdevotion Noire: Goddess Black Heart, released on PSV and PC, is a strategy RPG game and a spin-off of the Hyperdimension Neptunia jRPG series. The franchise, started in 2010, was created by Idea Factory and Compile Heart. Just a few years after the release of the first part of the main RPG series, it has received five more games and several side titles for PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and PS Vita. Hyperdevotion Noire: Goddess Black Heart was developed by the main development team working on the series. The main character of the game is Noire, the goddess of the kingdom of Lastation representing the PlayStation brand. In other games, she always played a secondary role but quickly became the favorite of the fans of Neptunia and one of the most popular characters in the series - hence the decision to create a production focused on her.
Just like in other games from the Hyperdimension Neptunia franchise, Hyperdevotion Noire: Goddess Black Heart takes place in a universe where the characters living there are anthropomorphic representations of various types of consoles or concepts related to gaming and the history of games. As usual, in order to enjoy the plot, we don't need to know the rest of the series. The story takes us to a world called Gamemarket, which is controlled by four kingdoms. The strongest of them is called Lastation, led by Noire. Players take on the role of the new anonymous secretary of the ruler. Our role is to help her fight the new threat.
Hyperdevotion Noire: Goddess Black Heart is a classic strategic turn-based jRPG, similar to the Fire Emblem or Disgaea series. During the game, we participate in various missions, helping the inhabitants of the world of Gamemarket. Battles take place on a chessboard shown in an isometric view. During the campaign, we can be ed by a total of 26 different heroines. Each of them has their own modifiable equipment and a set of skills. The combat system is very simple and doesn't have any advanced options, which can be found in more extensive titles in this genre. Its one original feature is the system of relations between characters. The more often they fight together, the bigger bonuses they receive in subsequent battles.
The graphics in Hyperdevotion Noire: Goddess Black Heart doesn't differ from the standards of the series. The character models are made in the popular su[er deformed style.
