An expansion for the Russian game ICMB: Escalation, combining RTS and grand strategy elements. Endless October DLC allows us to control the Soviet Union that managed to avoid the colapse during the 1990s. We can rely on proxy wars, dyplomacy and command new units as part of the alternative history scenarios.

Endless October is a DLC for the game ICBM: Escalation, which is a combination of an RTS and a grand strategy. This time, the Russian studio SoftWarWave allows us to lead the Soviet Union into the threshold of the third millennium.

Gameplay

Similar to the base version of the game, Endless October campaign includes eleven missions, covering the period from the beginning of the Cold War to the near future. As the commander of significant forces of the Soviet Union and a vast military-industrial complex, we resist rivals and allies all over the globe.

In contrast to technologically superior NATO, Russia relies on strength and numbers, which players must take into when leading the country through decades of the Cold War. We confront anti-Russian forces in Angola, the Chinese advancing on the borders, and finally the threats within the Soviet Union itself. Our actions concern diplomacy and proxy wars, with the specter of nuclear annihilation looming on the horizon.

The expansion includes new units and allows us to choose how they are represented on the battlefield. We can exchange Leopard 1 for T-62 or F-22 for Su-57. Thanks to our activities in the global arms trade, we mix various military equipment, and in this way we are able to use Apache helicopters to our T-72s.

Story

The USSR emerges from World War II not only unscathed, but also stronger. Endless October campaign begins in the year 1950, when the Korean Peninsula becomes the first flashpoint in a world on the brink of nuclear war. The story culminates in the 21st century.
