ILL is an action game with survival horror elements. It was developed by an independent Russian team Team CLOUT and was funded through Patronite.
ILL does not try to scare players with a complicated plot. Instead, the title relies on a simple to understand story.
In ILL we observe the action from a first person perspective (FPP). We wander through bleak locations and face terrifying monsters, whose appearance evokes associations with the beasts from The Thing movie or the adversaries from Resident Evil games. We eliminate enemies, making use mainly of firearms.
ILL runs on Unreal Engine 5 technology and the project makes excellent use of the engine's capabilities. We are impressed both by detailed location designs and advanced physics, as well as by detailed, extremely realistically animated enemies whose bodies are damaged in real time.
