FPS was inspired by such titles as Half-Life 2 and Portal 2. In the game Industria we find ourselves in an alternative world of steam machines, where the main character is looking for her missing loved one. During the game we fight with humanoid robots and gradually learn the secrets of the world.
Industria is an FPS inspired by games such as Portal 2. The game was developed by the independent studio Bleakmill and published by Headup Games.
The action of Industria starts on 9 November 1989 in the German capital. Shortly after the fall of the Berlin Wall, the city became euphoric, but also chaotic. The main character of the game is Nora, whose beloved disappeared in a secret research centre near East Berlin. After receiving a farewell message from him, the heroine sets off to rescue him, but when she reaches the site, she only discovers that there is an extensive action of destroying the evidence of the mysterious project. The search finally leads her to an alternative, surreal world of steam engines, where mystery chases mystery and everything is controlled by sinister artificial intelligence.
In Industria, the action is shown from the first person perspective (FPP). During the game we visit various locations, which only at first glance resemble places from our reality. Looking for answers to the questions that torment the heroine, we must not only look into every corner, but also face our enemies. Nora receives four different weapons, among them a pistol, a pickaxe or a shotgun. An interesting fact is that in order to increase the immersion, the devs decided to give up the sight and all other unnecessary interface elements. The game was prepared in such a way as to provide fun for about four hours.
Industria is based on Unreal Engine 4 technology. The graphic design presents high quality. The design of the enemies may be particularly appealing, but the attention is also drawn to the detailed, surrealistic locations.
