Interpoint is a first person adventure game in which we play the role of a scientist researching parallel worlds. The game's developer is an independent Russian studio Three Dots and Juvty Worlds Ltd. The title made its debut on PCs first, then it was also ported to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Plot

At the beginning of the second decade of the 19th century, Delta Laboratories created a device based on quantum entanglement theory, which enabled for the opening of a portal to parallel worlds. It turned out that they are either a mirror copy of our universe or completely alien universes inhabited by mysterious creatures. The project was supposed to help mankind and put it on a new path of development, but unfortunately it brought a deadly threat to our planet. We play the role of Harry G., a scientist working for Delta Laboratories, who ends up far from home due to a portal failure. Depending on the decisions made during the game, we unlock one of the several endings.

Mechanics

We observe the action in Interpoint from first-person perspective. Players explore the vast underground research complex of Delta Laboratories, moving into parallel worlds from time to time. On our way we will come across various kinds of puzzles, the solving of which requires perceptiveness, as well as the ability to think logically. Many of them have several solutions. The key element of the game is the photon weapon, which is in our possession. The device absorbs energy from surrounding objects (light bulbs, gamma radiation from radioactive materials, power fields in the laboratory, etc.) and then transforms them into differently-colored beams used in puzzles. Weapons can also be used to deter aggressive creatures chasing us.

Technical aspects

Interpoint features three-dimensional graphic design, which does not stand out from similar productions. For most of the game we explore the poorly lit interiors of the research complex.
