Interrogation is an adventure game with elements of management in which we play the role of a detective dealing with the case of a terrorist group calling for the destruction of existing social norms. Our task is to interview its and decide their fate.
Interrogation is an independent noir adventure game in which we play the role of a detective investigating a mysterious terrorist organisation, The Liberation Front. The game is the responsibility of a small studio Critique Gaming.
At Interrogation, as an investigator, we interview alleged of a terrorist group called The Liberation Front. This organization welcomes into its ranks everyone - men, women and children from different spheres and with different views - as long as there are as many of them as possible. Their aim is to completely destroy the social order to build a new one on its foundations. Our task is to get as much information from them as possible and decide whether we want to help them or stop them.
The main element of the Interrogation game is to conduct hearings of the of the group. These are shown in the form of dialogues between suspects and those we choose to continue the conversation. With each member interviewed, they become more and more difficult and require us to understand the suspect's psyche, which is not always easy to read. During conversations we have to use various techniques of persuasion to hear what we need. Manipulation, threats, false accusations, questions about the same thing over and over again, these are just a few of them. Each of our choices can lead to the desired (or not) effect, so we must listen carefully and observe the character appearing before us on the screen.
Each of the suspects is different, so it's worth getting to know his story, where it comes from, what he does and what he thinks about different subjects. All this will allow us to better match it to a specific psychological portrait and to understand which interview technique will work better than another. But we can't try indefinitely. Each hearing may take a certain amount of time during which we may learn the relevant facts or be deceived by believing in false testimony. All this affects one of the many endings we can see in this title.
However, auditions are not enough, as the management aspect also plays an important role in the game. Our department has a limited budget, so we have to plan our expenses carefully. We need to manage our human resources properly and send subordinates on missions according to their skills, decide how to present events to the press, professional colleagues or politicians.
Interrogation's graphics design is saturated with the climate of noir and fully maintained in black and white monochrome.
It is worth noting that the characters in the game are hand drawn on the basis of hundreds of photographs taken by the team of each of the 40 actors playing the roles.

Game Ratings for Interrogation: You Will Be Deceived Video Game.
GamingTrend: 80 / 100 by T.K. Hale
Interrogation: You will be deceived is a game that some will play straight through for the narrative experience and some will for the experience of being a detective. Both offer an amazing experience that is elevated by the characters and strong narrative. I just wish that during the times of stress, the game made the player feel a sense of angst.
Gamer Escape: 7 / 10 by Timothy Hyldahl
Barring some bugs that will hopefully get patched soon, I really enjoyed my time with Interrogation – You Will Be Deceived. The interconnected systems that give consequences even to your “kind” options really make me want to dig in and figure out just what effects all my actions have.
Screen Rant: 2.5 / 5 by Peter Morics
Interrogation presents a unique idea but struggles to follow through.
