Iron Maiden: Legacy of the Beast for AND and iOS is a game created by combined forces of Roadhouse Interactive (the creators of Warhammer 40,000: Carnage) and 50cc Games in a strong cooperation with Iron Maiden band. The game is an action-focused RPG game distributed by using the free-to-play model.
Plot
The player assumes the role of Eddie – the cult mascot of the band well known from the covers of most albums and singles. Eddie travels through dangerous, fantasy world partially based on the Iron Maiden’s song lyrics.
Mechanics
The gameplay in Iron Maiden: Legacy of the Beast for AND and iOS is focused on fast action and on using various abilities of Eddie who appears during the game in different forms. His powers are useful mostly during combat against the enemies shown before on the covers of the Iron Maiden albums, but they can be also useful while exploring the world and traveling through time. The music created by Iron Maiden is an inseparable part of the gameplay. During the game one can listen not only to well known songs of the band, but also to never heard before recordings from concerts which were adapted for the game by Tony Newton and Steve Harris – the bass and founder of the band.
