J.A.S.F. Jane's Advanced Strike Fighters

J.A.S.F. Jane's Advanced Strike Fighters is an arcade aviation game in which simulation elements have been reduced to a minimum. Instead of realism, the focus was put on dynamic, arcade gameplay. The game was developed by Trickstar Games. The people employed there had previously formed the backbone of Transmission Games, which - before it was finally closed down - managed to release Heatseeker, Heroes of the Pacific and Heroes Over Europe.

Plot

The action of the game is set in a fictitious state of Azbaristan. After a long civil war, the inhabitants received a decade of nervous peace. During these ten years, the sphere of influence of the National North Republic of Azbaristan has been systematically expanded at the expense of the democratic territory of North Azbaristan. The latter managed to maintain the remains of independence mainly thanks to the aid of Western states. Now the conflict is beginning again and we have to play the role of the commanding officer of the air fighter squadron. Our task is to unite the country and thus protect the interests of the West.
