The action presented in Jaws Of Extinction takes place in postapocalyptic reality. Thanatos Pharmaceuticals Corporation has developed drugs for diseases considered incurable, such as AIDS and cancer. Unfortunately, it turned out that they have serious side effects. The spores of the fungus used to produce medicines started to infect people, damaging their brains and causing body mutations.
The player impersonates one of the four survivors and hits the island of Eden-Nadir, which is the main base of Thanatos Pharmaceuticals. He s the resistance there, fighting the corporation.
Jaws Of Extinction has elements characteristic for the survival games. The player starts by choosing one of the available characters (each of them has different abilities). His tasks include satisfying the hero's basic needs, such as hunger and thirst, while avoiding death at the hands of the infected, hostile factions or wildlife. In addition, you should beware of the traps your enemies have set.
The game offers an open world, which can be navigated on foot, on horseback or by vehicles. You can meet a number of independent characters commissioning various types of tasks. Additionally, the day and night cycle and changing weather conditions were implemented.
A crafting system was implemented, which allows to use the accumulated raw materials to produce tools necessary for the survival and expansion of the camp. The game also offers a character development system. You will gain experience for your actions in the game, allowing you to advance to a higher level. This allows you to unlock new skills that affect gameplay.
Jaws Of Extinction allows you to play a feature campaign alone or in four-person co-op mode. The devs also implemented a multiplayer mode.
