Cradle of Egypt is the next installment of the popular series of match-3 logic games, initiated by Cradle of Persia and Cradle of Rome. In this part the creators take us on an expedition to Ancient Egypt.
Cradle of Egypt is a puzzle game similar to Bejeweled or Yevel Quest, which is the fourth installment of the popular series by the Belarusian studio Avem.
This time the creators from Mogilev took us on an expedition to Ancient Egypt. The assumptions and mechanics of Cradle of Egypt do not differ much from those known from previous editions of the series. The title refers to the concept of match-3 games. The aim of the game is to build a powerful empire over the Nile by arranging at least three identical symbols in line on different types of boards as quickly as possible and eliminating blue backlit fields. With the development of this kind of gameplay there are more and more areas, which requires greater concentration and predictability. Thanks to the resources of gold, commercial materials and food obtained in this way, we can build increasingly complex Egyptian buildings and contribute to the development of the kingdom.
On each level we can also obtain special items, which are particularly helpful in overcoming more difficult challenges, such as pickaxes that immediately destroy one of the blue fields. After a few challenges of this kind, with the help of simple puzzles, we will unblock further architectural plans of Egyptian buildings, from simple huts to complex pyramids.
The game contains more than 100 levels of increasing complexity, divided into five larger chapters and more than 25 trophies that can be won. There are three types of gameplay, such as tournament mode or adventure mode.
Apart from the standard version of Cradle of Egypt, Awem studio has also developed the Collector's Edition of the title. It includes additional challenges such as unlocking soundtracks or wallpapers, as well as a set of bonus mini-games and game creators' comments on production.
The Cradle of Egypt graphic design presents a cartoon and very colorful style that will appeal to all fans of the series. The music, though simple, is exceptionally atmospheric and fits perfectly into the Egyptian convention of Awem studio production.
