Jumpman was one of the first platform games released on PeCety, developed by Epyx studio and released by the well-known IBM company.
The action takes place inside a space station located on the surface of the fifth planet of our Solar System - Jupiter. Representatives of a foreign race infiltrated it and left deadly explosives in the whole complex of thirty levels. The player will play the role of the title Jumper, whose task is to clear the base of bombs before they explode and bury the station staff forever.
The rules of the game are very simple, not to say trivial. Our hero, running and jumping on various platforms, has to take all the bombs marked with circles, avoiding with enemy missiles, robots and other systems, poisoning the lives of every irer of platformers. In total, thirty different boards are waiting to be overcome, there are five levels of difficulty to choose from.
Although the game offers up to four people to take part in the tournament, it doesn't mean that four jumpers will appear on the board. Each player tries to complete the task on their own without interfering with the actions of their competitors. Graphic design is, as usual, a contractual issue in this type of productions. To put it mildly, it is so "good" that you can easily distinguish between the main character, the bomb and the so-called "disturbances".
