Junxions

Junxions is the debut project of the Slovak studio CyberStorm. It is a simulation game in which we use a comprehensive set of tools to build roads and manage city traffic.

Gameplay

Gameplay in Junxions involves planning road infrastructure to achieve smooth traffic flow. Using the limitations resulting from real life legal regulations, we create transfer nodes, roundabouts, byes, traffic lanes, bicycle paths, tram tracks or places for pedestrians to stop. To eliminate street traffic jams, we establish intersection rules, defining how individual traffic lights should operate.

Junxions offers two modes of play. In challenge mode we have to solve problems on pre-designed maps, designating roads in such a way as to maintain a constant flow of traffic, prevent traffic jams, and ensure the maintenance of an average speed above a certain minimum, all while keeping in mind a limited budget. We plan routes around existing structures, trying to meet the requirements of people commuting to work.
