Mechanics

In Jydge for PC, SWITCH and etc., the player begins with creating their unique character. Apart from choosing their special abilities, the player can configure their basic weapon, which is the Gavel rifle. The game is played from a top-down view. During this adventure, the player explores the streets of Edenbyrg and completes different assignments. In contrast to the studio's previous game, particular scenarios were created by the developer. As a result, the player faces robbers who target MegaBank facilities, rescues of the Flanders family held hostage by the so-called Cobra Gang, and ultimately, stands up to the Death Machine, which was built by a mysterious constructor.

Regardless of what assignment is currently being completed by the player, killing hordes of enemies remains the key part of the experience. The game gives an opportunity to modify the protagonist's weapon in many different ways, which allows the player to use it as a classic machine gun that fires live ammunition, a plasma weapon, a shotgun, a grenade launcher or even as a rocket launcher. What is interesting, although eliminating adversaries in open combat is very effective here, one can alternatively apply a more advanced strategy – through installing adequate modifications on the gun, one can gain the ability to shoot through walls, for example. As the player progresses, they unlock access to new weapons, modifications, and gadgets, such as a shield which deflects bullets. It is also worth noticing, that the player can perform silent executions on unaware enemies and use drones, which provide an upper hand on the battlefield.

Game modes

Jydge for PC, SWITCH and etc. can be played solo or with another player, thanks to the local co-op mode included.

Technical aspects

The game comes with carefully crafted visuals. Above all, one should notice that the player is capable of destroying objects of the environment.
