Kerbal Space Program: Breaking Ground Expansion is the second add-on, after Kerbal Space Program, an original space simulator released in 2015. The expansion introduces the possibility to study the surfaces of planets on which players land.
Kerbal Space Program: Breaking Ground Expansion is largely focused on exploration and research. The expansion adds various elements on the surface of planets that can be freely examined. A tool called Rover Arm is used to collect scientific data.
Players can also set up research facilities. Once they have teams, they can carry out experiments in various fields, from geology to meteorology. To make this possible, special objects have been added, which can be taken by players to the target planet.
In addition, the expansion introduces new space costumes and parts to be installed in vehicles.
Kerbal Space Program: Breaking Ground Expansion does not make any changes to the quality of the visuals. It only adds new objects to planetary surfaces.
