Mechanics

Although the gameplay in Kingdom: Two Crowns - Norse Lands uses the same scheme as in the base game, the add-on also introduces a number of new features.

There are new areas waiting to be explored, which create a vast land, and buildings modeled on the structures built by the Vikings. In addition, new units appear in the expansion (led by a powerful berserk), which we provide with unique equipment. What's interesting, as befits the tough people of the north, in a dangerous situation each of our subjects can grab a weapon and face the danger, regardless of whether we're talking about a battle-hardened warrior, peasant or builder. Enemies, whose attacks we have to fend off, are not our only concern. Cold winter can effectively mess up our plans, so we have to prepare properly for its arrival.

As we progress, we gain powerful skills inspired by those possessed by the gods of Nordic myths, which allows us to face ever greater challenges.

Technical aspects

Norse Lands is a non standalone add-on and it requires the base version of Kingdom: Two Crowns to run. Graphics in the add-on is made in the pixel art technique known from the original, but it differs from the basic version of the game both by unique units and buildings as well as the new look of the forests.
