Developed by independent studio Chainsawesome Games, Knight Squad is an arcade game focusing on multiplayer gameplay for up to 8 people. Each player becomes a knight and the group fights on confined arenas that resemble levels from the classic Bomberman. Players can make use of many different pieces of gear and weapons, including swords, bows, and crossbows, but also laser guns, as well as special actions (e.g. ninja, kamikaze).
Knight Squad is an independent arcade game designed around multiplayer gameplay for up to 8 players. The title was developed by Chainsawesome Games, a developer team of three.
The creators describe their game as a crossover between Bomberman and Gauntlet. The player becomes one of the titular knights and is sent to fight on small, confined arenas. Chainsawesome Games prepared a number of both competitive and cooperative modes. Knight Squad offers the following game modes: Grail (you have to carry the grail into a target location), Capture the Flag (a mode known to all fans of multiplayer gameplay), Soccer (a local variation of the popular sport), Gladiator (stay alive within the golden zone), Last Man Standing (be the last one to survive all rounds), and Team Deathmatch (teams against eachother).
The game was designed with multiplayer gameplay in mind (both local and online) for up to 8 people. However, if none of your friends is available at the moment, you can play with bots (AI-controlled knights). There are all sorts of weapons you can use in combat. The developers implemented various tools of destruction, including crossbows, bows, swords, and even laser guns. Moreover, you can use special powers, such as shield, kamikaze, or ninja. The game features a top-down perspective and minimalistic visuals.

We Got This Covered: 4 / 5 by Jowi Meli
If you're looking for pure arcade action that's a blast to play locally, Knight Squad is worth checking out. There's a ton of modes to keep things varied, and the chaotic pace is perfect for party play.
Destructoid: 7 / 10 by Jordan Devore
There's no shortage of cool party games these days, and Knight Squad stands among them. It's not something I see myself returning to time and time again like some of its peers, but I got a kick out its accessible, action-packed multiplayer. If you're coming along for the ride, be sure to bring friends.
Cubed3: 5 / 10 by Izzy Lichi
Knight Squad may bore many who want a solid standalone game to experience, but certainly stands on its own merits by being an enjoyable multiplayer title. The mechanics work well and don't require too much reflex, as the hit-box of other players is very large, making it so any player has a fair chance at winning. Ultimately, Knight Squad is a decent arcade multiplayer game that will be amusing for a while, but quickly becomes boring after a short amount of time. King and royalty, however, should look elsewhere for a more entertaining tournament.
