A real-time strategy game, which takes the players to a universe initially featured in the popular League of War: Mercenaries for mobile devices. Developed by MunkyFun, League of War: VR allows the player to visit a futuristic battleground and gives them twelve types of units.
League of War: VR is a real time strategy game developed by MunkyFun. The game has been developed for PS4 and is set in a universe featured for the first time in the popular League of War: Mercenaries for mobile devices. In order to work, the game described herein requires a virtual reality headgear.
League of War: VR allows a player to visit a futuristic battleground and gives at his disposal twelve types of units featuring infantry soldiers, fighters, and tanks wreaking havoc among the enemy forces. The gameplay revolves around fighting enemy armies, sending one’s units to battle, and taking care of the energy reserves, which serve a sort of a mineral – the more powerful units one intends to use, to more energy he has to acquire for this. Often, a player is faced with difficult choices – they have to decide, whether to hold the offensive until the aforementioned tank can be used, or send a weaker unit to battle to distract the enemy. A battle ends when a player destroys the enemy base or the other way around – when the enemy destroys player’s base.
Also worth mentioning are the controls – As League of War: VR for PS4 requires a Virtual Reality headgear in order to work, a player can look around a battlefield by moving his head, however, the units are selected and issued orders by the motion controller.
Apart from the single player campaign, the game offers a multiplayer mode, in which one can face another player.
