Release Date: November 6, 2007
Complete edition of two bestselling games from the LEGO series, based on the first six movie episodes of Star Wars (divided into classic and new trilogy). LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga consists of 2005’s LEGO Star Wars and its year younger sequel, LEGO Star Wars: The Original Trilogy.
LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga is package of two games which show events from six move episodes of Star Wars series. They approached a famous saga with tongue-in-cheek attitude, as all characters and locations are made of LEGO bricks. Both games – LEGO Star Wars 2: The Original Trilogy, are three-dimensional platformers with a lot of action and cooperation mode for two players. New version has been enhanced with additional stage in episode V and “Challenges”, a time trial mode in which we have to collect required number of items before timer runs out. Also, some other bonuses were added by developers.
Games’ plot shows events known from six parts of Star Wars, with each stage loosely referring to scenes from movies. We play as many known and recognizable characters, including Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin and Luke Skywalker, and even Darth Maul. Each of them, quite obviously, made of bricks.
Gameplay follows in steps of other games from TT Games (previously known as Traveller’s Tale), offering a mix of action game and platformer with fights against many brick enemies. Characters can jump, use items and fight – some with laser guns, other with light sabers. We also collect a lot of additional stuff that unlocks new elements in the game.
The most important part of LEGO Star Wars is that you can play with a friend in cooperation mode. This allows experiencing adventures in pair and taking role of various characters, not necessarily sticking to movies’ canon. There are 160 characters to choose from in total, with some of them – like Watto, Zam or Boss Nass – being exclusive to LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga for PC, X360 and etc.. It is noteworthy that nothing prevents us from creating our own hero, using a vast set of bricks.
Visuals are very pleasant for eye, due to their comical and colorful style that perfectly fits look and atmosphere of LEGO bricks. There are also characteristic tracks and sounds known from movies. The set is complemented by documentary content that reveals production process of games from the series.
