LiberoGrande is an unusual football game developed by Namco which is connected with the FIFA and ISS Pro series only by basic assumptions. Initially, the game was released on arcade machines. The PlayStation 1 version is optimized for the console and offers a number of game modes that extend the life of the game.

Mechanics

LiberoGrande is an arcade sports game that presents football in an innovative way. Players take control of only one selected team member, and the camera shows the action from behind his back. The goal is to lead your team to victory by performing position-specific tasks. The production is not licensed, so we will not find real names, but fans of the discipline will easily recognize the greatest stars of the late XX century, such as Zinedine Zidane, Alessandro Del Piero, Gabriel Batistuta, Alan Shearer, Roberto Carlos or Gheorghe Hagi. Each of them is described by three parameters that define the speed, technique, and shooting skills.
