Lost Lullabies: The Orphanage Chronicles is a survival horror designed for cooperative play. The game was developed by the independent Turkish team Pugsy Studios and represents their debut project.

Story

The action of Lost Lullabies: The Orphanage Chronicles takes place in the year 1980. The game takes us to the city of Lowell, where a tragic fire took place 20 years earlier. The fire consumed the local orphanage, whose were subjected to cruel torture and experiments.

During the game, we end up in the ruins of an orphanage in Lowell. Our goal is to confront the spirits residing in this place and send them back to the afterlife.

In Lost Lullabies: The Orphanage Chronicles, the action is viewed from a first-person perspective (FPP).

Spirit encounters

Throughout the subsequent chapters, we face various phenomena. Each of the spirits was equipped with unique features, and their stories were presented in the form of riddles. By solving these puzzles, we gradually uncover more secrets from a certain soul's past. All of this is done in order to ultimately neutralize it (in case we are dealing with a bad phenomenon) or to ensure its peace (when we are dealing with a good spirit).

The clues, as well as the places and objects that we need to examine to find information and evidence and solve a given puzzle, change with each session. This is intended to increase the replayability of the game.

Equipment, base camp, merchant and voice chat

Various gadgets help us in identifying spirits. In addition, a voice chat has been implemented in the game, allowing us not only to communicate with other players, but also to make with spirits. The ghosts react to selected words (which can make them happy or angry). Additionally, we may encounter hidden doors or activate mechanisms.

Our command center is a garage, where we can stock up on useful equipment and get rid of unnecessary items, as well as talk to other players or engage in searching for so-called easter eggs. We can also meet a trader in the orphanage. In exchange for the trinkets we collect along the way, he will offer access to his goods.
