An action adventure game with clearly defined survival elements. Lost Viking: The Kingdom of Women is set in the ninth century AD, but does not approach history with 100% seriousness. Its development is the responsibility of the Forestlight Games studio.
Lost Viking: Kingdom of Women is a history-inspired action adventure game with strong survival elements. We play the role of viking Ragnald, who tries to get his captured family back from the hands of mysterious Amazons-like women. The production was created by Warsaw-based independent studio Forestlight Games (creators of Dorian Morris Adventure and Wedding Designer). The publisher is Gaming Factory.
Lost Viking: Kingdom of Women takes place in Eastern Europe, in the 19th century AD. The main character of the game is a viking named Ragnald - a smart and brave warrior who leads the expedition inland. Unfortunately, the Vikings fall into an ambush of warriors from the Kingdom of Women. Most men are killed, while women and children - including the family of the protagonist - are captured. Ragnald survives because he is saved by his wolf, Raga. A warrior tries to find and free his loved ones.
Lost Viking: Kingdom of Women is quite a classic action adventure game in which the game world is observed from behind the hero's back ( TPP). The gameplay consists in exploring the open world and performing role-playing tasks (connected with the mystery of the titular Kingdom of Women). From time to time we also have to fight - with both animals and people (they are by far the most dangerous).
The mechanics of the Lost Viking: Kingdom of Women have a lot of survival elements. We need to be able to get a sense of the field, get food (by fishing and hunting animals - hares, partridges, quails or beavers), prepare a shelter and even deal with vermin (mosquitoes, ticks). The crafting system also plays an important role.
It is worth noting that our hero on the expedition is accompanied by the wolf Raga, which in many situations can save his life.
In Lost Viking: Kingdom of Women, we can only play alone. The basis of the game is a feature campaign.
Lost Viking: Kingdom of Women has quite a simple, three-dimensional graphic design. The graphics are not realistic - instead, the creators decided to use the colourful, yet somewhat comic-like convention of low-poly (the game deliberately uses a little bit of a twisted, not very detailed models, composed of clearly outlined, three-dimensional solids). The whole thing looks good, but does not arouse iration.
