Simple puzzle game in which we try to remove certain blocks from the board. We do this by drawing with the mouse continuous, not crossing lines connecting all adjacent fields of the same colour.
Lucid is a puzzle game, which consists in removing from a rectangular board divided into 80 fields a set number of blocks in a specific color. In order to get rid of them, it is necessary to draw a line that will connect all adjacent figures of the same colour. The fact that the outlined curve must not intersect at any point is a certain difficulty. Therefore, for example, it is not possible to mark a cross-shaped figure, because we would have to indicate its central field more than once.
During the game, the information appears, what color of the block should be removed during the next move, which will result in a partial completion of the progress indicator. Its complete filling means victory. If we do not manage to plot the desired colour of the blocks, we will get a points reward, but the progress indicator will not change.
The player receives additional bonuses in the form of a multiplier of points by combining large numbers of blocks at the same time or by marking the area in the shape of a square. Sometimes there are also special glossy icons that increase the final result if they are not used by the end of the stage. Lucid also introduced a system of achievements.
The graphics are similar to other games of the genre, such as Bejeweled or Puzzlegeddon series. Along with making spectacular combinations we observe a feast of colours of exploding blocks. The background is played by calming, ambient music.
