Invasions from space are an everyday thing in computer games, so no one should be surprised that the main character of the platformer Luigi & Spaghetti will also have to deal with green people. This time the aliens, planning to enslave the Earth, decided to kidnap the most eminent inhabitants of our planet and imprison them in different parts of the globe. It is only up to the player whether to free the famous persons and thus destroy the mysterious plan of the aliens.
The game is divided into several stages with increasing difficulty level. In each of them we have to free one hero, characteristic for the country we are currently in (e.g. Indiana Jones in Egypt, Tarzan in Amazonia or Spartakus in Italy). To do this, destroy all the eggs on the board by jumping on them and trampling them. After a certain period of time, small aliens may start hatching from some eggs - they also need to be taken care of.
When all the eggs and small green figures have been defeated, we can go to the place where one of the heroes has been imprisoned. Releasing it automatically completes the board successfully and moves to the next one. The task, at least theoretically, therefore seems simple. However, it is worse with its performance. There are various creatures moving on the board, with whom Luigi will pay with the loss of invaluable energy. As the player against them is completely defenceless, all his efforts must be focused on scrupulously avoiding the threat. In crisis situations, a moving step-by-step earthworm can help us to serve as a trampoline for jumps from a higher height and to reach an apparently inaccessible platform. On each board there is also the Superman's emblem, which ensures temporary immortality and the ability to fly - especially the latter is very helpful.
Luigi & Spaghetti is a simple product, but that doesn't mean you don't have to think solidly from time to time. Pointless running on the board is unlikely to bring the expected results. The game has a nice audiovisual setting, with perfectly realized animations of characters and equally good sound. The only drawback is that all texts are displayed in Spanish. Fortunately, their number is limited to a minimum, so that those who do not necessarily have their linguistic skills connected with the Iberian Peninsula will be able to cope with the program.
