Lumencraft

Mechanics

In Lumencraft the action is shown in top-down view. During the game we go underground and make all the corridors, ages and rooms by ourselves. At the beginning we have relatively simple tools, which makes the digging quite slow. With time, however, we gain new equipment that improves the process, such as dynamite, which destroys large areas of land in one go. On the way we have to be careful not to go too deep and, for example, not to dig into the lava, which when released can destroy the effects of our work, and bring us mortal danger.

Of course, the dangers we encounter underground don't end with lava. There live creatures which attack both the protagonist and his base. For this reason, going underground we have to be both armed to the teeth, to kill hordes of monsters, as well as take care of the defense of our territory, deploying automatic cannons in strategic places. As we progress, we unlock new weapons, which increases our combat potential.

Technical aspects

Lumencraft runs on the Godot Engine technology. The authors implemented a number of their own modifications to the engine, which allowed them, among other things, to obtain huge possibilities of terrain deformation and destruction. In addition, the game has a dynamic lighting system.
