An original two-dimensional adventure game developed by Amanita Design - an independent Czech studio popular for the Samorost series. The action is set in a bizarre world made entirely of metal. All the plants, wildlife and humans were replaced by robots. The player assumes the role of one such robot, wrongfully sent to a junkyard. Once back in town, the protagonist discovers the existence of a conspiracy aiming to murder its leader.

Machinarium for PC, PS3 and etc. is another creation of Amanita Design - an independent Czech studio popular for both the installments in the series of Flash-based adventure games Samorost. These games gained a large group of fans and the latest one was awarded the main price for the best browser game, during the ninth edition of the Independent Games Festival. Similar to the Samorost series, Machinarium is a two-dimensional adventure game based on the classic point-and-click mechanics. Interestingly, the game features unusual visuals.

Plot

Machinarium for PC, PS3 and etc. offers a bizzare game world made entirely of metal. The player does not encounter any plants, wildlife or humans - all of them were replaced by different kinds of robots. The protagonist is one of them of course. He was wrongfully sent away to a junkyard, but when the player meets him for the first time, he is back in town. The protagonist encounters of the Black Cap Brotherhood, who have planned to attack the headquarters of the town leader, located in the main tower. The protagonist decides to stop them, but he also has to save his girlfriend along the way.
