Magicka Expansion Pack
Release Date: April 12, 2011
Add-on DLC to Magick's arcade cRPG. This time we leave the cosy fantasy lands and move to the jungle of Vietnam. Everything is obtained in a crazy comedy atmosphere known from the original. In addition to the single mission, there is also a map for survival mode.
Magicka, an indie production by the Swedish team at Arrowhead Game Studios, became an undisputed hit of digital distribution, no wonder that the developers decided to go with the flow and release a DLC In Vietnam, we move from a fantasy world to a Vietnamese jungle.
Magicka: Vietnam, just like the original game, is a dynamic hack ‘n’ slash, although this time the main role is played by all kinds of modern weapons, such as machine rifles, instead of magic spells. We observe the battlefield from an aerial view, thanks to which the game looks as if it was a reincarnated Cannon Fodder.
The DLC offers one mission, in which we perform predetermined tasks, such as destroying communication stations, capturing plans of actions, destroying designated buildings and freeing prisoners.
Apart from the abovementioned mission that takes around half an hour to complete, the developers also created one Vietnam-themed map for the survival mode. In both cases, we may play either solo or in cooperation with three other people. What is important, it is enough for one person to have the DLC as long as he hosts the game, the remaining players do not have to buy the add-on to enjoy its content.
