Magicka: Wizard Wars

Magicka: Wizard Wars is a MOBA game, based on the universe of the renowned series of Magicka RPG games. The production was developed by the Paradox North studio, an internal team of the developer.

The game features multiplayer games exclusively, and focuses around the PvP mode, where two teams of four mages each battle against each other. The mechanics behind casting spells are based on the same solutions as in the first Magicka. Each hero has a set of basic skills at his disposal (e.g. lightning bolts, fire or an energy shield). The true fun in Wizard Wars begins when you start mixing the available spells, crafting powerful combinations, e.g. an energy shield reinforced with fire will not only provide protection, but also set nearby foes on fire.

Shifting the focus of the gameplay on creating the best spells possible, provides fresh experiences, unique only for Magicka: Wizard Wars. Your teammates are not immune to the spells you cast, making it possible to kill them by mistake in the heat of the battle, which is why coordinating with your team is key if you are to defeat your enemies. The character progression system provides the game with even more variety, allowing you to upgrade your hero’s abilities for points earned by winning matches. The game does not lack in the unique humor and design of the Magicka series.
