Marie's Room is a short free-to-play exploration game. It was developed so that it can be completed in one short sitting. Its main creators are Kenny Guillaume and Dagmar Blommaert.
A girl named Kelsey is sent to the room, where she used to live with her friend, Marie, several years ago. Her task is to find Marie's diary. While in the room, Kelsey is suddenly struck by a torrent of memories. The empty, unused room changes into what it once used to be. By analyzing the contents of the room and listening to Kelsey's commentary, you discover the tragic events from the girls' past and learn the story of their turbulent friendship.
Marie's Room is an exploration game set mostly in just one room. You examine various objects and listen to the protagonist's comments. Some objects can be interacted with in more advanced ways: they can be picked up, rotated and viewed from many sides. The laptop can be turned on and its files examined, while the notebook can be opened and read.
Since the game is supposed to be completed within one sitting, there is no save game option.
