Masters of the Universe: He-Man Power of Grayskull is an extremely uncomplicated arcade game that focuses almost exclusively on the mass extermination of the enemies appearing on the screen. We are dealing here with the so-called walking brawl, a game in which we gradually explore the board, encountering newer and newer obstacles. However, the producer did not use the side view, well known from Golden Axe. Instead, an isometric projection was chosen. It can be said that the Power of Grayskull resembles the classics of the genre such as Cadaver or Heimdall 2 to a greater extent. The game clearly refers to the new adventures of the title superhero, broadcasted by the station Cartoon Network. This series had its official premiere in 2002. Taniko studio is responsible for the production of the game, which has also prepared such titles as Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines (GBA), or Retro Atari Classics (NDS). The Power of Grayskull was created solely for the needs of a single player.
During the game we play as the title character of course. He-Man has thirteen different boards to overcome. On our way we meet, of course, monsters sent by the Skeleton, which should be dealt with as efficiently as possible. Character control is not too complex. We can choose between two types of attacks - standard and stronger, but demanding a moment of preparation. He-Man can also block enemy attacks. In addition to fights with monsters, several other attractions have been taken care of, which definitely play a secondary role. The main character in some places has to jump to adjacent platforms. You should also look for the keys needed to open some gates. In the game there is also a quite simple sequence, in which we sit at the controls of a futuristic vehicle. Visually, the Power of Grayskull looks relatively good. The environment is very diverse, and the main character is animated in detail.
