Matcho

Game mechanics

In Matcho we observe the action from a first person perspective (FPP). Wandering through various locations, we complete tasks, overcome numerous terrain obstacles, solve clever puzzles and fight encountered enemies. Besides, from time to time we make decisions that affect the course of the story and its ending.

The combat system is what makes the described production stand out from other representatives of the genre. As in match-3 games, we eliminate enemies by marking at least three targets of the same color. The more opponents we manage to kill in one go, the more points we get. To increase our score, we have to create spectacular combinations.

In addition, the game puts our dexterity to the test and exploration of various locations involves the necessity of jumping on platforms, running on walls or overcoming terrain obstacles using an extensive parkour system.

Game modes

Apart from the story campaign, in Matcho we can find a special Endless mode, telling a separate story and equipped with its own set of maps, a separate system of character development (as we progress, we unlock new skills, which allows us to face more difficult challenges) and rankings, where we can show off our achievements. In addition, a variation on its theme, the ZEN module, where we can relax by carelessly eliminating hordes of opponents, is waiting to be tested. The last one is the multiplayer mode, which allows players to compete against each other.

Technical aspects

Graphics in Matcho is in a colorful, cartoonish style inspired by Disney's or Pixar's works. The game runs on Unreal Engine 4 technology.
