Danse Macabre Adventure Pack is the second, after Pirates of the Savage Sea, expansion to the Might & Magic: Heroes VI game. The Limbic Entertainment team has prepared a brand new campaign (it takes around 10 hours to complete), in which you can find numerous references to the previous instalments of the cycle.
Plot
The storyline of Might & Magic: Heroes VI: Danse Macabre Adventure Pack revolves around the character of Sandro the Great Lich. The necromancer that had been banished in the Heroes of Might & Magic III: Shadow of Death campaign has now unexpectedly returned, seeking vengeance on the world of Ashan and its Dragon Gods. The campaign consists out of two missions, during which the vengeful Sandro will pose a challenge to heroes representing both the forces of Haven and Necropolis.
Mechanics
As concerns the gameplay, the expansion is based on the solutions from the vanilla version of the game. The developers have, however, decided to introduce several new elements. The DLC contains a new set of artefacts (the dynasty weapon - Staff of the Netherworld, and the Great Lich set), several new heroes (e.g. Giovanni, Lucretia), a new building (The Magic Menagerie), a new dynasty pet (a raven named Alma), as well as a new map of the land of Xeen, that has been designed on the basis of the 4th and 5th instalments of the series.

The Danse Macabre Adventure Pack expansion is available individually and in the Might & Magic: Heroes VI – Gold Edition pack.
