Mind Your Language: Learn English is an educational product that gives the player the opportunity to get to know English better. The whole was prepared in a form that combines learning with fun. In addition to the game described above, the Mind Your Language series also features four other titles that allow you to learn languages such as French, Spanish, German and Japanese. Learn English is prepared by the British developer studio Spiral House, which in the past co-created such games as Ghost Master or Alone in the Dark: The New Nightmare.
Even before you start playing, you create your own character, which you can then take complete control over. Mind Your Language takes place in a fictional school, where the player can move around as much as they want. The game is based to a large extent on the possibility of interacting with the objects encountered, as well as on finding secret chambers. In addition, the player meets about twenty independent characters, from whom he can learn many interesting things.
This product offers, above all, the possibility of expanding the vocabulary. New words are learned by taking part in eight different mini-games. The already known words are collected in a special dictionary, which makes them more easily accessible. A big attraction is also the opportunity to listen to the correct way of pronouncing them. About 1000 sound samples were prepared for the game. In addition to learning new words and phrases, the player can also become familiar with spelling, spelling and other things to help them become better acquainted with the English language.
For all their progress, the player is rewarded accordingly, gaining access to hidden objects or interesting bonuses. As you progress through the game, the difficulty level gradually increases, allowing you to get on with more complex tasks. They often require the knowledge gained so far to be demonstrated.
Mind Your Language: Learn English is relatively simple, although it is worth noting that the action takes place simultaneously on both screens of the console. Sometimes it is also required to use a style, for example to type in the correct letters. The game was prepared mainly for younger s (8-15 years old).
