An action platformer that is the spiritual successor to the Momodora series. We find ourselves in a fantasy land where there is currently a witch hunt. We travel through gloomy locations as the sisters Semilla and Fran and fight against various enemies while trying to save the world from the disastrous influence of heresy.
Minoria is an action platform game, enriched with RPG elements, which is the spiritual successor of the Momodora series. The production was developed by the independent studio Bombservice and published by DANGEN Entertainment.
Minoria takes us on a journey to a dark, fantasy universe inspired by medieval Europe. The action of the game takes place during a witch hunt organized by the so-called Sacred Office. The Inquisition led by the Office pursues people who perform mysterious ceremonies that go against the principles of the Church. Over the course of the game we take control over Sisters Semilla and Fran, who have to stop these rituals and protect the people from the destructive influence of heresy.
In Minoria, the action is shown from the side. While traversing gloomy locations, we deal primarily with fighting against the enemies that we encounter. During the clashes we do not only need to show skill with the sword attacks and spells at our disposal but we must also perform rapid dodges or parry the blows carried out by the opponents. The list of the latter includes both ordinary foes and much more powerful bosses with greater strength and resistance to injury. However, as we progress, the combat potential of our wards grows - as they advance to the next levels of experience, they can gradually face increasingly powerful enemies.
The graphics of Minoria consist of two-dimensional hand-drawn backgrounds and manga characters. The gameplay is accompanied by a dark, gloomy soundtrack.
