Molek-Syntez is a complex puzzle game in which we synthesize molecules of various chemicals to obtain new molecules with different properties. The game takes place on a board covered with hexagon, and the whole thing is enriched with simple, monochromatic graphics.
Molek-Syntez is a complex puzzle game developed by Zachtronics, specialists in this genre, whose portfolio includes such productions as SHENZHEN I/O.
The action of Molek-Syntez takes place in the year 2092. During the game we play the role of a chemist who works in his laboratory located in the Romanian city of Cluj-Napoca.
The gameplay in Molek-Syntez takes place on a two-dimensional board covered with a grid of hexagonal fields. By programming a molecular synthesizer, we place selected molecules of various chemical substances (such as acetone, benzene or hydrochloric acid) on individual fields and synthesize them. In this way we obtain new molecules with various pharmacological properties - from medicines to psychoactive substances. At the same time, however, it is important to optimise our recipes in such a way as to achieve the desired effect as easily as possible.
We can present our works to other players in the form of statistics or boast about the process of creating them using short GIFs. Molek-Syntez has also implemented a mini-game inspired by solitaire, which enables us to relax during breaks from work.
Like most other works by Zachtronics, i>Molek-Syntez features simple monochromatic graphics.
