Crazy Chicken in the land of pharaohs is an arcade platformer produced by the German company Phenomedia. Directing the actions of the title character, the player will comb through the remains of ancient Egyptian civilization in search of the tomb of the legendary Winged Pharaoh.
The Mad Chicken in the Land of Pharaohs is the third installment of the Moorhuhn Schatzjäger sub-cycle (Mad Chicken: Treasure Hunter), developed by the German company Phenomedia for enthusiasts of classic "jump'n run" platformers.
The action of the game takes place in Egypt. The title character undertakes to find the treasure of the legendary Winged Pharaoh. The challenge is not easy due to the deadly traps and ruthless opponents who jealously guard the secrets of the past.
The creators of Crazy Chicken in the land of pharaohs prepared a total of 31 levels leading through deserts, tombs and ancient temples. The player's task is to collect 30 clay tablets on which a map leading to the Pharaoh's tomb is written, and then to find his sarcophagus.
As befits a platformer in the traditional edition, the events are presented from the side view of the camera. While playing, the player has to show reflex and dexterity by jumping between platforms and avoiding numerous dangers.
In the visual layer, the Mad Chicken in the land of pharaohs combines two-dimensional backgrounds with three-dimensional models of characters and some objects. Graphics is maintained in a cartoon convention, with which humorous animations harmonize well.
