My NBA 2K15, released on AND and iOS, is a mobile spin-off of one of the most popular series of sports games dedicated to basketball, released along with the fully-fledged version of the series. The publisher of the whole series, 2K Games, is responsible for the release of the game.
The production is an unusual combination of a classic sports manager with a card game - this aspect strongly resembles the competitive FIFA Ultimate Team and another title of 2K Games, WWE SuperCard. The aim of the game is to play the full basketball season with a team made up of cards representing the players. Each player is described by five key parameters, which are systematically developed. The key to success is to set individual players to the correct positions, which guarantees us additional bonuses and strengthens the team.
As the game progresses, we get new randomly selected cards to build a stronger team, which is able to compete with the teams of other players. In addition to the cards symbolizing the players themselves, we can also draw special coach cards, which will provide us with additional team at key moments of the season. In addition, all players presented in the game have three special slots, which are used to strengthen their skills with special power-ups.
My NBA 2K15 has decent graphics. During the game, we can see funny animations depicting cards of players moving with the ball on the court and performing spectacular basketball tricks. The title is distributed in a free-to-play model, which in this case means that players who invest real cash in additional card packages will automatically have a better chance of success.
