Neptunia: Sisters VS Sisters is an action RPG, being the part of a popular Japanese franchise. The game once again takes place in a land inspired by classic game consoles. This time, the player spends most of their time battling enemies using a heavily arcade combat system.
Neptunia: Sisters VS Sisters is a Japanese action RPG and a new installment in a popular franchise, which originated in 2010 with Hyperdimension Neptunia. It was developed by Compile Heart with input from Idea Factory, the same duo responsible for most installments of the series.
The game once again takes place in an unusual land of Gamindustri, each region of which is inspired by a different classic game console.
The story focuses on a group of warriors, trapped in a time capsule by an evil goddess during a mission in an abandoned research facility. Waking up two years later, they find the realm on the brink of destruction. Neptune, who's been keeping order in the land, disappeared during a mission to the PC Continent, with Gamindustri being plagues by disasters and monsters.
The main heroines must discover the cause of all these issues and find a way to save the realm.
Unlike most other games in the franchise, which are usually turn-based, Neptunia: Sisters VS Sisters is an action RPG. The player explores the world and dungeons, completes quests, upgrades their characters and, above all else, battles hordes of enemies.
The game features a highly arcade combat system. The player has access to many different attacks which can be chained into combos, needing to evade each enemy strike manually. We can have only two allies at a time, so it is crucial to select correct party for each challenge, with certain combinations granting useful bonuses.
The player can also use Gamindustri's social media site to communicate with characters and undertake quests. The characters' appearance can also be highly customised.
The game only s singleplayer.
The anime-styled visuals of Neptunia: Sisters VS Sisters are rather appealing.
