NHRA: Countdown to the Championship 2007, released on PS2 and PSP, is the next installment of a popular series of racing games. This product is fully licensed by the National Hot Rod Association (NHRA), which was founded in 1951 and runs drag racing competitions. These races take place on straight sections of a road. The length of the route is only 1/4 mile. The biggest attractions are the extremely powerful cars (even several thousand mechanical horses). The game was developed by Lucky Chicken, which has also developed such titles as Casper: Spirit Dimensions, or Underworld.

Game modes

As the game title may suggest, NHRA: Countdown to the Championship 2007 reflects the changes introduced in the 2007 season, concerning the way the whole racing season is played. It was divided into three parts. The first part consists of 17 races. The aim is to select eight best teams from each category (Top Fuel, Funny Car, Pro Stock and Pro Stock Motorcycle). The second part consists of four races. This time, the competition aims to select four best teams from each group, which go to the two final races of the season.
