Ninety-Nine Nights Online is a MMORPG based on a series of slashers known to Xbox 360 s. Players have the opportunity to play the heroes of a world torn apart by the eternal conflict between light and darkness.
Ninety-Nine Nights Online is the third installment of the series created by Sang Youna Lee and Tetsuya Mizuguchi. This time the Japanese Q Entertainment studio has partnered with a Taiwanese developer specializing in MMO game productions - Joy Technology, which has won such titles as AngelLoveOnline and Angel Seneki. Ninety-Nine Nights Online designers focused on implementing mechanisms that enable thousands of players to play with the richness of the N3 Series universe and the best gameplay features, including tactical elements.
The action of the game was set in the world known from the first part of the cycle. The plot, however, presents a completely new story about the conflict between the forces of light and darkness that has been going on since the dawn of time.
As befits a MMORPG title, players can choose from several character classes. Each of them has specific skills, fighting style and arsenal of weapons. When choosing a class for the hero, one should pay attention to the weaknesses, which often determine the tactics of clashes with enemies. Characters also have a number of options to customize their appearance.
In of gameplay mechanics, Ninety-Nine Nights Online combines solutions taken directly from earlier versions of the series (such as combosy and orb spark) with elements popular in competitive MMO games. Production is distinguished by tactical aspects of combat, and to defeat some exceptionally strong enemies requires the use of an appropriate strategy.
The visual side of Ninety-Nine Nights Online is the responsibility of Tatsuhiko Kanaoka, known to players as a co-creator of the King of Fighters series. He designed most of the locations, but also the appearance of characters and monsters in the game.
The Ninety-Nine Nights Online business model is based on a microtransaction system. The game is available for free, free-to-play, but some amenities and items are offered for a fee through an in-house shop.
