The fourteenth DLC for the popular 2018 strategy game. Northgard: Hafgufa, Clan of the Turtle introduces the new titular faction along with its leader Njord. This clan is composed primarily of skilled merchants and negotatiors. It also allows for the use of caravans and mobile buildings.
Northgard: Hafgufa, Clan of the Turtle is the fourteenth expansion to the 2018 strategy game set in a world based on Norse mythology. Similar to the base version of the game, the DLC was developed by Shiro Games studio.
Northgard: Hafgufa, Clan of the Turtle introduces the titular clan, known as Hafgufa. Given that it is formed by merchants and negotiators, it stands out from most of the others in the fact that its conquests take place not by fire and sword, but through trade.
At the head of Hafgufa is Njord - a leader who has perfected his knowledge of the art of negotiation. At the same time, in a threatening situation, he can defend himself, avoiding attacks and using an oar as a weapon.
Having a unique leader is not the only thing that distinguish Hafgufa from other groups. The Clan of the Turtle has at its disposal caravans, i.e. mobile buildings of a sort, thanks to which its can establish temporary settlements in neutral and allied territories.
The main unit of the Hafgufa are the traders, who gather resources and provide friendly factions with goods for sale. Additionally, in a situation of danger, of the Clan of the Turtle can hide in their buildings, where they wait for the arrival of reinforcements.
The list of novelties is topped by the Ring of Andvaranaut, an artifact that allows you to exchange relations for crowns.
Similar to the base version of the game, in Northgard: Hafgufa, Clan of the Turtle we can play alone or in multiplayer mode over the Internet. The add-on allows us to both compete and cooperate with other players.
Northgard: Hafgufa, Clan of the Turtle is not a standalone DLC, so it requires the base game Northgard.
